"And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God (do not offend or vex or sadden Him), by Whom you were sealed (marked, branded as God's own, secured) for the day of redemption (of final deliverance through Christ from evil and the consequences of sin)."
The Lord has been speaking to me. Recently I was given a powerful prophetic word from God about speaking in tongues or our heavenly language. The Lord said "The gift I have given you to sing that Holy Spirit inspired melody! Give it back to me in worship - I will increase this anointing when you do so. Discouragement will try and steal this gift away. Bring it forth and bless others as well! It is also a part of your healing! The act and choice of singing your love song to me will loosen bonds in your life."
I have heard people say that speaking in tongues is just gobbledygock. Please don't grieve the Holy Spirit, this must sadden Him so much. He is the third member of the Trinity and the bible refers to Him as a person. John 14:26.
The Lord continued to speak to me. "I will bring opportunities for you to step out with the songs I have given you. Walk in it. You will be amazed at the healing power that will flow among my people. Be bold, be strong, for the Lord thy God is with you. Don't look at the faces of opposition or fear of man! Look up! Look up! into my face of love. Open wide your mouth, your voice and I will surely fill it. This is a new day! We walk together. For I declare "No weapon formed against you will prosper. Today I will break that fear of pride coming in if you step out in your gift. That is a lie belief and another tactic to stop this flow! Confess it to me, for I desire you to walk free."
I encourage all who may be reading this blog to lift up your voice with all of your heart! Our Father has given us this gift. This expression of worship unto Him is an avenue He uses to see the captives free. I know the Lord has so much more for me and you dear reader. Let's keep opening our hearts to Him until we are completely captivated by Him and His companionship is our deepest satisfaction.
